# Is the ground state of the Kitaev model approximately a singlet?

which breaks the SU(2) spin rotation symmetry explicitly.

Numerical calculations for 24 sites($J_{x}=J_{y}=J_{z}$ for three kinds of links)

indicates that the ground state is approximately a singlet for 24 sites.

Question: Is this result guaranteed by any mechanism or just accidental?
