  autocompletion of pings

It would be nice if the names of pinged users would be auto-completed upon typing @ and the first few letters., with preference given to names that appear already on the calling page. Countless times I had to explicitly copy or write out again some names, which is error prone if the spelling is unfamiliar or the user name contains a blank.

This is almost impossible to do for me within the editor, as the editor is a big external application (CKEDITOR), slightly adapted for PO. What I could try to implement is a text field with some sort of autocompletion below the editor, with a button "Copy to clipboard". A direct insertion into the editor's text block would also be quite complicated to realize.

@polarkernel: Do you know how it is done on SE? It works there nicely.

SE's is a simple textbox, while we have a full-fledged editor (or you might call it a simple word processor) for comments.

I am not able to fully resolve this requirement. However, I have implemented a solution that should simplify the construction of a user ping. Below the editor you find an input field dedicated to insert a user ping. Type there some characters of the desired username and select the user, when it gets displayed below this field. On selection, the ping will immediately get inserted into the editor's text at the last cursor position.

The solution is not yet extensively tested, please send me feedback in case of issues.

Thanks! I see the input field, but I can't type into it. Also, it might be good to prepend the field by a text such as ' insert ping'.

@ArnoldNeumaier Thank you. Bug fixed, should work now.

@polarkernel: Yes, it works now nicely. Thanks a lot!
