Wall for Ron Maimon

Did you get my message? I keep getting the red server error
Feb 3, 2015 by physicsnewbie
I think those comments shouldn't be deleted (I don't know what specific comment you are talking about. I'm meaning in general). Especially if dimension10 didn't ask you to do so. This way, if someone is insulted by you in the future, that person will be able (or could be shown by someone else) that is not personal, but it's partly related to your temperament.

I think it's not serious, and I have a great opinion of you, but if you are embarrassed by such actions, don't do it again. (Ooops, Now it's me who is talking like a mum/dad. Sorry about this)

It's the comment where I call you names, the others are fine. I am embarassed if the other moderators that rotate in see how childish and temperamental I am!
Feb 3, 2015 by Ron Maimon
I saw your request to permanently delete some "insane insults" by you.

But why does it need to be deleted, when you've already hidden it?
Feb 3, 2015 by dimension10
I sent you a private message.
Feb 2, 2015 by drake
The comments weren't even deleted. They were moved to chat, because they were completely tangential to the actual discussion.
Feb 1, 2015 by dimension10
And I'm not hostile to you at all. It's just that it seemed to me in a comment that you were talking to me the same way as a mum does to her kid.

Hey Ron,
I just modified the moderator review question, as you suggested. Let me know if you want me to make any additional change.
As for moderator, I still resist. I think we need a few simple policies regarding moderation and I can try to make a proposal in meta. Why do I need to be a moderator to propose such policies?
Jan 31, 2015 by drake
@ron how should the mods deal with people that persistently post off topic comments under questions then?

One way would be to post every single comment under meta and let the community decide, or... let the mods elected by the community decide. Maybe there's another way?

I didn't complain about conformal_gk. I don't care about insults. I complained about the pathological attempt to exclude people using a threatened block for "off topic comments".
