Introductory notes reviewing N=4 D=4 SuperYang Mills

+ 5 like - 0 dislike

I am looking for notes and papers that treat the N=4 D=4 Super Yang Mills theory, starting from an introductory level.

I have been using different notes so far (some mentioned in my previous question), but most of the notes I have focus on other kinds of supersymmetric theories.

My main interest in this subject is to eventually understand S duality and on-shell diagrams.

Please feel free to include advanced articles pertaining to the subject. It would be nice to have a compilation of such articles.

I'll be slowly compiling papers and notes on N=4 Super Yang Mills on this page. Over time I want to build a repository that will be useful for a graduate entering research into this subject.

Supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories

S-duality in N = 4 Yang-Mills theories with general gauge groups

Eric D'Hoker's and Dan Freedman's classic Supersymmetric Gauge Theories and the AdS/CFT Correspondence has a nice section on $\mathcal{N}=4$ SYM. Then you can check the nLab entry  for many many references therein. Also, usually all AdS/CFT related PhD theses include pedagological sections on the theory you want while understanding the "planar nature" does not restric in $\mathcal{N}=4$ SYM only so you can find info onColeman's classic textbook.
