Theoretical Physics from Area 51

Physics Overflow is in some kind a revival of the closed Area 51 beta site Theoretical Physics with a slightly broadened scope, outside of the StackExchange network. All questions from the data dump available at that site have been imported. On each post from this site, a link to Area 51 serves as attribution. Former users of that beta site may regain their account on Physics Overflow (see below).

Imported Questions from StackExchange Sites

The Physics Overflow community will import some selected questions from StackExchange sites. mainly if they are endangered or of very high level. These questions are imported according the Stack Exchange Network Terms of Service,  (especially section 3a to 3d of the Stack Exchange Terms of Service).

An attribution line on each post includes a hyperlink directly to the original question, to the origin StackExchange site and to the user that has written the post originally. Because it is not possible to synchronize edits made later on SE, a time stamp indicates the date and time of the import.

All contributors to the original post may regain their account on Physics Overflow (see below).

Regain StackExchange Account

Former users of Area 51 Theoretical Physics or users of imported questions may regain their account here on Physics Overflow (see link on side-panel on the right). Former Area 51 users will require their email-address and password from the beta site. SE-users will require the same credentials, but from the originating site. In case of issues, please contact us using the link "Send feedback" on bottom of this page.
