Bug in email address confirmation?

Thanks for reporting this bug. I think it used work till recently (I remember other users having confirmed their emails). Have no idea what happened. Will try to reproduce this bug.

It is difficult to find the reason for this bug. Could it be that the used email address existed already on another account? Maybe the bug is produced similar to this one. I will implement the *temporary solution" of Waterfr Villa as soon as possible to get at least a readable error message.

@polarkernel Have you seen this : http://www.question2answer.org/qa/14046/could-not-send-reset-password-email?show=17991#a17991 ? There are some changes needed to be done in the host's control panel, which only you can access.

I re-tested this, and it seems that polarkernel has fixed this! Though it is not so that the email exists on another account, as I had tried this with a new test email and account yesterday and reproduced the bug.

So I will now mark this as status-completed.

Could you try confirming your email address again, Heterotic? It should work, as it worked for my test bot.

@dimension10 I am not confirmed that the bug was triggered by an email bug. All the time the site is up now, we had never an issue with the local mail. Also, the bug discussed here ends with the function qa_send_new_confirm(), while the example in your link dies in another function. I don't like to change the system immediately before going online. However, if we encounter this issue again somewhere, I will do it.
