If you ended up for some reason with more than one accound and want them to be merged, please post an answer in this thread (including links to the accounts to be merged and telling us which one you'd like to keep) and an administrator will help you as soon as possible.

Eventually the user should also tell us, which of the accounts he likes to keep. Only the posts (and naturally also the corresponding points) will be merged, but not the content of the user profile (wall, about, etc.).

I am from SE. I can not regaim my SE account here (I was signed up on SE by google, and my google account does not seem to work here). So I created this new account. Could you help me to merge my SE account (http://www.physicsoverflow.org/user/Everett+You) to this new one?

I am from physics.SE. I logged there using OpenID, with this account: http://physics.stackexchange.com/users/3064/becko

Can you merge me?

Hi PKM2, in order to prove that you are becko (since an MD5 encryption of your email didn't obtain becko's email hash), could you login to "becko" on SE, and ping me somewhere, like in chat? Thanks.

Hi Becko, welcome to PhysicsOverflow. Which one of the two accounts do you want to keep?

@Dilaton well he would clearly want to keep PKM2, as that's the only account he can log on to!

Ok, I saw the part on you being logged in, verified that, and merged your accounts. Welcome to Physics Overflow!

I would like this account (auxsvr1) to be merged with auxsvr from SE and preserve the latter. Also, there are some graduate-level posts I made in SE that are not imported here.

I don't know the password for auxsvr, is it possible to use auxsvr1's password for it?

I have merged your accounts. I have merged "auxsvr1" into "auxsvr", you may change your username by clicking "Edit Profile" or "My Account" in the top bar.

Thanks!

Hi @auxvr, and if you have questions to import, you can suggest them here ...

[MERGED AND RESOLVED]

Hello, I'd like to merge my newly created account (plaurids) with my Physics.SE account:

http://physics.stackexchange.com/users/16767/pedro-lauridsen-ribeiro

I'd also like to have my Physics.SE account above preserved. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to PhysicsOverflow !

I have now merged plaurids into Pedro Lauridsen Ribeiro.

BTW if you have SE posts of yours (or others) you would like to see on PhysicsOverflow, you can suggest them to be imported here

http://www.physicsoverflow.org/4536

Actually, I forgot to mention that I log into Physics.SE using my Google account. Since the merger, I've been unable to log into PhysicsOverflow - it claims that my email address in my Physics.SE account (which is precisely my Google email address) is not registered. How should I proceed?

Ok, so I will send you temporary login data per mail, and after the successful login you can change the credentials from your user page.

Done. Thanks a lot!

Something strange happened to my account - I tried logging in using Google (as I do for my SE account), and the previous merger with my SE account done in Aprin 14th vanished, together with all my reputation points and profile data! I tried using the login and password from that merger, and they are no longer recognized.

Hi Pedro,

we are looking into it ...

Hi Pedro

We have installed the possibility to use the Google login this afternoon. It consists of a Question2Answer plugin, that seemed to be tested. Now I have found, that your login has deleted the existibg account and has created a new one. I will be able at least to reassign the imported questions manually to your actual account using the database directly and I will do this immediatley. I am very sorry about this inconvenience for you. If there have been posts thta you have made between the imports and the Google login, I cannot find them automatically. If there are, please give me hints about their content. They shold be already here, but with an author called anonymous.

@dimension10 @Dilaton I have switched off the new logins until we have knowledge what happened.

@Polarkernal thanks ...

@Polarkernal I haven't added any new posts since the merger, but my posts that had been imported from Physics.SE by the merger are still missing from my account. Unfortunately, I don't remember all of them so it will take some time to find them, specially if they are assigned "anonymous" instead of my username as you say...

@Pedro Lauridsen Ribeiro I have now re-imported your missing posts to PhysicsOverflow. Sorry for your trouble!

@dimension10 Thanks a bunch!

Can you merge my physicsoverflow account: suresh1 merged  with my physics SE migrated account on this site: suresh (SE)? I  have no particular preference with regard to the account that I retain though I would like to have the userid "suresh", if that is available. Thanks.

Welcome to PhysicsOverflow!

I have merged your account "suresh (SE)" into "suresh1". Unfortunately, "suresh" is taken, but you can always change your username by clicking the "Edit Profile" or "My Account" link at the top.

I'm Tom Copeland from MathOverflow, Math  Stackexchange, and Physics Stackexchange. I opened an account under Tom C. Copeland here after seeing one of my questions here imported from MO. Could you please merge the two accounts under Tom Copeland.

Hi, I am Mr. Gentleman from SE:

http://physics.stackexchange.com/users/37363/mr-gentleman

Could you please merge my account here? Thanks a lot!

answered May 6, 2014 by Mr. Gentleman [ revision history ]
edited May 8, 2014 by dimension10

Hi Mr. Gentleman, welcome to PhysicsOverflow!

As PhysicsOverflow is not in the SE network, we can not directly connect your account here to the one on Physics SE...

But if you write a short mail to admin@physicsoverflow.org, we will send you back temporary access data for your PhysicsOverflow account

http://www.physicsoverflow.org/user/Mr.+Gentleman

which you can change afterwards.

Alternatively, you may create a new account here and we will merge your two accounts for you.
