I would like to insert an image, but it seems that I can only cite images links. Is uploading images not supported? If so, what should I do?

Indeed, uploading images from your commputer is not yet supported, but it will be soon. See here.

Meanwhile, the best option is to upload your image to an external image host such as Imgur or PostImg, and add the image from there.
