Should the "comment" button be at of bottom of the comments?

I would usually read through all the existing comments before commenting. When I finish reading, my first instinct is to find the comment button near where I finished, and then it takes me quite a few seconds to realize that I have to scroll back to the top to find the button. It has happened to me quite a few times and I still haven't learnt my lesson... Maybe it is more natural to put the button at the bottom of the existing comments?

Oh, yes - it's already that way for answers, but not yet for questions.

Yes, it is its place there. Also the button "edit" and button "hide" should be separated in space more to prevent misclicking. Finally, for the comment author, one can foresee a button "delete" to delete a comment non useful any more.

@dimension10, is the comment button on the top necessary? Should we make it solely at the bottom?

@JiaYiyang You're right - @polarkernel Could the request above be solved? The comment button should be replaced by an "add comment" button at the bottom of each comment thread for both questions and answers, regardless of whether there are any comments in the comment thread at all.
