The notification system got updated on request. The goal of this update was to reduce the number of notifications shown in the users history page:

  • All edits to a user's post since the last visit of his history page are notified in yellow as one single event.
  • All vote events on a user's post since the last visit of his history page get notified in yellow as one single event 'received vote(s) on'.
  • If a user got @-pinged in a post before the last visit of his history page, he does not get alerted again when the same post got edited after this visit. An @-ping in a post is notified only once.

If you like to see the expanded sequence of events, just reload the history page. The number of notifications displayed on the account bar on top-left of every page shows always the full number of events together with a ≤ sign to remember the possible reductions mentioned above.
