Can dark matter effects be explained without taking into account the fact that they are particles? Can they be just disturbances of space time or a naturally occurring curvature which makes us feel the presence of a mass? It is already accepted that dark matter is not a simple baryonic matter.

Can a similar explanation run for dark energy?

I am a beginner enthusiastic in cosmology, please clarify to me.

Close reason should be changed to "author request", because the author voluntarily closed the question (thankfully).
