  Should some of the questions be migrated to cstheory.SE?

TP.SE is closing and it seems that the questions/answers will be migrated in-bulk to physics.SE. Should we do this for all questions, or move some questions over to theoretical physics' research level cousin: cstheory.SE?

In particular, I am thinking about the questions under the tags: quantum-information, quant-ph, and quantum-computing. (Also, maybe quantum-foundations).

Can we migrate every question with the above tags (or some refinement of them) to cstheory, or should we proceed on a question-by-question basis? Or should we just let all the questions go to physics.SE?

Things on quantum information are in between physics.SE and cstheory.SE. And whatever we do, they there will be some crossover. Judging be the current content of the mentioned sites, only _quantum-computing_, and maybe some of _quantum-information_, should go to CST.

The discussion on cstheory suggests that the community is happy with receiving the questions with quantum-information and quantum-computing tags.

Since there does not seem to be too much objection here either, I think we should migrate both tags on-mass to cstheory.SE. If some of the quantum-info questions turn out to be a little of-topic for cstheory, then the community there will take care of subsequently passing them off to physics.SE. However, it seems that almost all the questions will find a fine home at cstheory.

It is good to hear that. However, it is good o give it some thought not to split the quantum researchers community. BTW: Are questions on geometry of quantum states on-topic on CST?

But mostly it is to be arranges between P and CST, not between this site.

you can voice your opinion about quant-info [over at cstheory](http://meta.cstheory.stackexchange.com/q/1516/1037), but can you give a few examples of specific quant-info questions that you think would be off-topic for cstheory? This would be most useful over at the cstheory discussion where people have a strong grasp of cstheory's scope.

Although bulk-migration may have disadvantages, if I open the quantum-computing and quantum-information tags, I see a good number of posts that have high-quality TCS content. These should not be forgotten.
