How to change the font in an answer?

In https://www.physicsoverflow.org/41992 I got by copying from somewhere else part of the text in typewriter font, which doesn't automaltically introduce linebreaks, so that I had to do it manually.

I didn't find any way to change the font to normal (and self line breaking). What can I do?

I just noticed that I must have had this problem earlier when writing the question to the thread mentioned above. And the suggestion given in the comments there worked: I had to select the text and change the formatting to ''paragraph''. Now everything is ok.
