In this paper by R Cleve et al. (How to share a quantum secret) we can see that (2,3) threshold scheme of quantum secret sharing can be observed and used by using a Qutrit. I am currently working on a protocol which requires Qubit splitting in such case.
dear, what is the question ? :) There are many theoretical possible ways to share a secret if one believes that entanglement is physical. In fact, there is not only one working implementation using them... The major difficulties in the sector is the lack of sharing of serious results and the rare knowledge of the fundaments ( even in a random great old profs set :) , sorry about this observation )
