Does loop quantum gravity assume a degree of freedom for each Planck volume?

Loop quantum gravity assumes that space is made of loops.

If I read correctly, loop quantum gravity assumes a degree of freedom in each Planck volume.

Is this correct? Would this violate Bekenstein's entropy bound?
