Wall for drake

Hi drake--- please be a mod and ask for accountability rules for moderators. I did all I can do in exposing this, and I have been working with Dilaton for a year, I can't do it. Not because I don't believe in it and agree with you (I do), but because it's not my idea, it's yours.

Hi Drake--- if I have offended you, please let me know! I will tone down whatever I said that rankled you so that it isn't offensive to your ears. You are a valued contributor, and I am sorry for my personality defects.

Hi Drake, I did not moderate anything so far, heck such tasks should not be my business at all, at least not in the long run. But we should elect by the physics community for their knowledge and achievements respected moderators

However what is true is, that since Dimension10 and I started to discuss about a new higher-level physics site on TRF, its goal was always to be some kind of revival of TP.SE and a little physics brother of MathOverflow, to which Ron added the idea of the Reviews section which is really great.

For this to become true in the long run, it is not partcularly helfpful if Ron calls nice former contributors of TP.SE we happily obtain back, names such as morons and other names .... We still need to attract more professional physicists such that questions as they have been asked on TP.SE can be answered with a higher percentage.

So all I did is express my disagreement about this name calling to Ron and explaining that in order to proof bad physics wrong (even in strong words!), name calling of people (such as JonLester we are happy to attract to PhysicsOverflow) is not needed.

I am rather astonished that you so strongly disagree with this defending the original goals of PhysicsOverflow and expressing harmless but clear disagreement with for things that are not needed to  drive home any physics point, such explicite name calling...

You know, not even Lumo did this on TP.SE, whereas on TRF he calls things and people by their proper names and I personally often rather agree with him.

Dear Drake,

Thanks for your comments. The point is that Ron called "morons" all these respectable and smart people working on this line of research sine '90s and pretend they are wrong. So, it become offensive on my wall and offended myself using an identical term. I removed his posts being unacceptable and advised admins for this behaviour. Indeed, this is a typical crackpot attitude. By my side, I avoided to feed such a discussion further, rather I advised him to no review the paper by Cucchieri and Mendes as you can read in the review area. More I cannot do and he is free to do whatever he wants provided he avoid to offend respectable people and will maintain politeness everywhere. This is the minimum requirement to do a constructive discussion.

I wish to thank Dilaton, Dimension 10, and anyone else who has contributed to setting up this site. Great job!
