Can we have a way of quickly distinguishing between imported and posted questions on the main page?

Like me, I can imagine there are quite a few people that come here only to look at questions uniquely posted here, and not imported from Physics Stack Exchange, since we use both sites. But I'm having to open every question on the main page to find out if it's imported or not.

Can we therefore have some way of quickly glancing at the main page to tell which questions are imported, and those which aren't?

Just adding a tag "imported" or lightening/darkening the main colour would be enough, but perhaps there are better suggestions.

For good on-topic questions, it it completely irrelevant if  they are  posted here directly or if they are imported. In the past, we have observed that indeed imported questions can attract new nice answers here too. And as we have disabled the feature of accepting answers, it is not even a drawback if the original asker of the question himself is not here (yet).

So I disagree with making a superficial additional difference between imported and native posts. The relevance and quality of a question does really not depend on this. When looking at the question list, people can just click and read questions (and their answers) they are interested in from looking at the title, and the ones who really care for some reason can see if a post is imported from the presence or absence of the attribution line.

Of course we hope that the rate of natively posted questions will increase in the course of time, but for this we have to be a bit patient. Happily we to not have to fullfill any externally prescribed activity criteria ...

I agree, +1. Note that more on-topic-for-Physics-Overflow questions are posted here than on SE.

This is a ridiculous idea. Posts which get imported do not automatically show up on the main page unless:

  • There is some new activity on the question.
  • The imported post was recently posted on SE so it gets into the same position as it would have if it were posted here directly.

In the first case, the post should absolutely be shown on the main page since the activity has occurred here only, not on SE. The second case is not so bad, we get more graduate-level questions than Physics.SE does per day.

I'm not against imported posts showing up on the main page, I merely want a way of distinguishing between those, and original stuff posted here at a glance.

@physicsnewbie Why? Even imported, posts get original answers here. No! Let's not waste our time and resources in doing things that harm the site!
