What do you need to know about the upcoming mass migration?

We have recently been having a lot of discussion about the upcoming shutdown of this site on Physics Meta and in our chat room. I've made a meta post summarizing the discussions so far which may have some useful information for anyone wondering about this migration. I just wanted to bring it to everyone's attention here.
