New features for revision history of posts

Our history recording feature got two upgrades in order to enable users to track revisions of their posts. There have been two major changes implemented:

1. Visibility of the revision history

The revision history is now accessible for every post by a link at the meta tags line, for instance as:

Posts with unchanged content also have a link to the revision history, but with a different text:

Like this, all changes made to posts may be tracked. This feature is accessible to all users.

2. History recording for comments

Edits on comments are now also tracked in the revision history. However, the recording started with the implementation of the new features today (2015/02/28). Earlier changes have not been recorded and are therefore not visible.

I have added an additional feature to the revision history. On top of the revision history, a complete list of all events like created, edited, retagged, recategorized, hidden, reshown, closed and reopened is displayed. Like this it is now completely transparent to all users what happened to a post on PhysicsOverflow. These events are visible for all posts written since the eventlog has been installed (2014/03/06).

If the content of a post did not change, for instance in the case of recategorization, the revision history stays to be linked as "no revision", but the event will be visible if you click on this link The reason for this is that the very large eventlog database table would have to be queried for every post in a question thread to get the information about such an event. This would delay the page for about 3 to 5 seconds, depending on the length of the thread, which I wanted to prevent.

Another exception is automatic retagging by the Tagging Tools plugin by Scott Vivian, which is not logged in the eventlog (appears as "retagged by anonymous" or just "retagged xx days ago" or similar).

We all appreciate it, polarkernel. Thanks!

Thanks, this is great!

Please hide the [no revision] indicator, as it is the default and just pollutes the appearance of the lists of Q/A.

For complete transparency it is enough that the indicator appears when there are revisions.

Well, I for one would want to see a link to the revision history even when there are no revisions. Perhaps the link could be made less striking by adding it to the  action type  (e.g. "edited")?
