Hello! I was searching information from the internet for weeks to solve this, but couldn't find any help for projectile motion with wind included. Any help will be greatly appreciated. So here comes my question:
A cannon ball is shot off at 40m high cliff at initial velocity 100m/s at an unknown angle. The cannon ball must hit a ship which is exactly 600m from the base of the cliff. To complicate matters; there is a wind blowing from the sea affecting the cannon ball’s motion by slowing its velocity down parallel the x axis at a rate of 5m/s². What is the angle that the cannon ball must be shot at in order to hit the ship?
